Theatre of COIN

For an experimental, contemporary theatre and performance artist in West Texas, 2026 was the perfect year to explore agitprop and Theatre of COIN. My strategic artivism infuenced the midterm elections.

Agitprop theatre, a form of political theatre, was popularized around 100 years ago. Art is intertwined with life and life includes politics; therefore, when politics become theatrical it is an artist's duty to hold up a mirror to society of what is unfolding.

Theatre of COIN (counterinsurgency) uses theatrical techniques as a way to keep a community connected and build resistance against invaders.
